Hello everyone! 

October was such an exciting month. We celebrated Halloween on October 31st but recently it feels as if we celebrate Halloween the whole month of October and even September. In fact, it may be even longer than that. I think I remember seeing some Halloween goods for sale at the 100 Yen store at the end of August. Did you all have a great Halloween this year?

We talk about Halloween every year about this time because we are a kids’ school. We all love Halloween. I just want to share some random information I discovered while researching what to write for the blog this month. I didn’t know this information before so this was interesting for  me. I hope it is for you too. Today I want to talk a little about the meaning behind Halloween’s colors.

Halloween Colors. 

Do you know what Halloween colors are? 

I think everyone knows what the Halloween colors are by now. In case you didn’t know, they are black and orange.  I didn't know until just recently that these colors had meaning. Can you guess what they mean? 

It is said that orange symbolizes autumn, the changing leaves and the harvest. It is also said that black symbolizes the long, cold winter that lies ahead. Halloween colors are so closely tied to the holiday that it is unusual for people to wear these two colors together outside of holiday celebrations. We always immediately think of Halloween when we see the colors black and orange together.

10月はとてもわくわくした月でした！
10月31日にハロウィンをお祝いしましたが、
最近は10月いっぱい、さらに9月までハロウィンを祝うように感じます。
実際には、それよりもさらに長くなるかもしれません。
8月末に100円ショップでハロウィングッズが売られていたのを覚えています。
皆さんは、今年はステキなハロウィンを過ごしましたか？

僕たちは子ども向けのスクールなので、毎年この時期にハロウィンについて話します。
僕たちは皆ハロウィンが大好きです。
今月のブログに何を書こうか探しているときに見つけた様々な情報を共有したいと思います。
僕は今までこの情報を知らなかったので、興味深かったです。
皆さんにも楽しんでいただけるといいなと思います。
今日はハロウィンの色の意味について、少しお話したいと思います。

ハロウィンの色。

皆さんはハロウィンの色を知っていますか？
ハロウィンの色が何色かは、皆さん既にご存知かと思います。
ご存知ない方もいるかもしれませんが、それは黒とオレンジです。
それらが何を意味するかわかりますか？

オレンジは秋、紅葉、収穫の象徴と言われています。
黒はこれからやってくる長くて寒い冬を象徴する色と言われています。
ハロウィンの色は祝祭日と非常に密接に関係しているため、
人々が祝祭日のお祝い以外で、この2色を一緒に使った服を着ることはあまりありません。
僕たちは黒とオレンジを一緒に見ると、いつもすぐにハロウィンを思い浮かべます。

ブログの投稿が少し遅くなって申し訳ありませんが、
皆さんがステキなハロウィンを過ごし、黒とオレンジの衣装でお祝いできたことを願っています。
